Doug grew up in the Suburbs of CT, but it was in the woods of CT, that he met his strongest influences... music and the joys of camping, hunting and fishing.

It was during the long road trips to their favorite camp grounds, lakes and streams, that the the sounds of Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin cranked through the Jenson speakers in his brothers '65 Ford Falcon with rusted out floor boards. Since then bands like Counting Crows, Oasis, Verticle Horizon, Switch Foot and Train have taken their place but not entirely.

Jump ahead 10 years... College, where he "managed" a band... ie: booked and promoted their shows.
Happy to be a part of the music scene, he still wanted to get out from behind the stage to try singing a few songs of his own. Europe provided that opportunity. Upon graduating from an upstate NY college... doug packed his backpack, fishing gear (a couple of "Rooster Tails"),yamaha guitar and headed off for a 6 week tour of England, Ireland, France (regrettably), Belgium, Holland, Germany and Austria where he fished the small Streams of Gallway and played the "tubes" and subways of London and Berlin.

Coming home meant loads gigs in Greenwich Village, NYC (tons of shows at The Bitter End), some gigs in LA, Nashville and up and down the East Coast from Boston to Philadelphia.

Burnt out on the scene, with not much but good stories to show for it, Doug took a break from music for a bit, to try acting. Here he submitted the last CD on his book shelf to an acting agent who needed a band for an upcoming scene. Universal Pictures chose Doug, his band and his song "Blue Room" to play alongside Renee Zellweger in the movie One True Thing. Soon after, Lion's Gate Pictures called to use his song "One Room Flat" for their film A Reason to Believe.

More solo acoustic and band shows follow 'til this day. Now doug is on his 4th CD, records with more of a country influence, and shares his passion for singing and songwriting with a love of the outdoors a cabin lifestyle, fishing and bow hunting.

Biggest Influences today? Train, Gavin DeGraw, Brad Paisley, Oasis, Keith Urban's earlier stuff, Toby, Counting Crows and Cold Play.
